Pratyush Kanth

Pratyush Kanth is a senior public communicator and political spokesperson with a distinguished background in journalism and public affairs. A graduate in History (Honours) from St. Stephen's College, Delhi, he began his professional career with The Times of India in 1993. Over the years, he earned recognition as a committed journalist and editor, eventually rising to the position of City Editor.

During his more than two decades in journalism, Kanth wrote extensively on a wide range of subjects including crime, education, environment, investigative agencies, social empowerment, and politics. Known for his sharp analytical approach and balanced perspective, his work reflected a deep engagement with issues affecting urban governance, public policy, and the lives of ordinary citizens.

Throughout his journalistic career, he developed a reputation for credible reporting, insightful commentary, and an ability to bring complex issues into public focus. His long association with one of India's leading newspapers helped shape important conversations around governance, accountability, and social development. 

After a long and distinguished career in journalism, he transitioned into public life. In 2017, he was appointed the Delhi BJP In-Charge for Media, Social Media, and the IT Cell. In this role, he played a key part in strengthening the party's communication strategy in the national capital.

 Pratyush Kanth currently serves as the National Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In this capacity, he represents the party on national platforms, articulating its views on key policy and political issues. Drawing on decades of experience in media and public discourse, he continues to contribute to political communication and public engagement with clarity, insight, and credibility.
