Shefali Sewak

Shefali Sewak is an advocate and Part-Time Member of the Public Grievances Commission, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. At the Commission, she hears public grievances concerning departments and organisations of the Government of NCT of Delhi. Her work is guided by a commitment to administrative fairness, institutional accountability and accessible grievance redressal.

 She has practised law in Delhi for over two decades, with a principal focus on intellectual property law and civil litigation. She also serves as an External Member on the Internal Committees constituted under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 at several institutions, including the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited and the National Medical Commission. She is also the Convenor of the Internal Committee of the Public Grievances Commission. Across these roles, she examines complaints, conducts inquiries and assists institutions in building stronger compliance frameworks for addressing workplace sexual harassment.

 She serves as Vice President of the Belgium Luxembourg Business Association, contributing to initiatives that strengthen bilateral economic engagement and policy dialogue. She is also a member of the YWCA of Delhi and supports its community outreach and legal awareness initiatives.

 She holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law from the University of New Hampshire School of Law, USA; an LL.B. from the Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi; and a B.A. (Honours) in Journalism from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi. She is currently pursuing the Public Leadership Credential with the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
